Shelly Biby has spent her professional career serving children and communities in need. Her experiences have taken her in and out of the classroom, where she has gained valuable knowledge about educational best practices, innovative teaching strategies for a 21st-century education, and building strategic and results-oriented non-profit programming.

Megan has spent her career assisting the underserved for over 7 years through W.I.O.A (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) funded programs in North Carolina and Georgia. In previous roles, she has been a Job Coach and a WIOA Career Coordinator. In both positions, Megan has always enjoyed helping individuals reach their career and education goals. She is committed to the experience and growth of every individual she serves.

Prior to serving as MeckEd’s Career Pathways Coordinator, Omar spent almost a decade helping young people realize their dreams through his work with ResCare Workforce Services. As MeckEd’s Career Pathways Coordinator, Omar applies his experience and demonstrates his commitment to ensuring that all Charlotte Mecklenburg high school students find and stay on a path to a bright future.

Jolon Shields
After spending the first few years of his career in IT with IBM, Jolon attended St. John’s University in Queens where he earned his Master’s in Education. It was in Brooklyn schools that he would hone his leadership skills, and learn to combine and apply his love of technology, Mathematics, and passion for encouraging youth in an educational setting. Jolon is committed to serving students and families, and will bring his wealth of knowledge as a former educator and high school administrator to impact student achievement in their college and career pursuits.

Ashton Glenn is MeckEd’s Career Pathways Advisor committed to ensuring the success of students at Harding University High School. Prior to joining MeckEd, Ashton served as an advocate for youth in the region and has worked as an educator, coach, and mentor in Charlotte Mecklenburg and Gaston County Schools.

Shemika Fletcher
Shamika Fletcher has extensive experience in Education and Youth services. Over the past two decades, she has worked primarily in workforce development for states such as Rhode Island, New York, and North Carolina. In addition, she has expanded her youth advocacy into communities in Cameroon Africa. Through her diverse background in education, Shamika strives to help her scholars develop their skills, find meaningful employment, and improve their overall quality of life.
