In 2013, Mark was a senior at Harding University High School, unsure of what the future held and lacked the financial resources to attend college.
Through MeckEd’s Career Pathways program, Mark participated in several work-based learning opportunities, including site visits, job shadowing and a soft skills workshop with Career Pathways community partner, SteelFab, Inc.
Immediately following his high school graduation, Mark accepted a position with SteelFab, beginning rigorous on-the-job training as a welding apprentice. With hard work, Mark completed his apprenticeship and is now a Class A welder with the potential earning of over $65,000 a year—a life changing impact.
