MeckEd Programs of Work

It is our goal to inspire citizens to participate, advocate, and embrace MeckEd’s vision that public education is a top priority. Doing so will ensure that all students graduate well-prepared for productive lives in the global community.

Specifically, we want the community to:

• Be informed and interested in public education and CMS.
• Be involved with School Board representatives and take informed positions on issues facing CMS.
• Serve as influencers/catalysts for education reform.
• Begin to develop a commitment to a shared agenda around education in Charlotte/Mecklenburg.
• Create a community-wide vision for a successful school system.
