School Board Meetings

The nine-member Board of Education is the governing body of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Non-partisan elections are held in November of odd-numbered years. The Board is comprised of three at-large members and six district representatives. The Board of Education holds regularly scheduled meetings, open to the public, on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 6 p.m. at the Government Center (600 East Fourth Street). Live broadcasts of board meetings air on CMS-TV Cable 3 and re-air on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. If you would like to speak at a public hearing, please call the Board of Education Office at 980-343-5139. Speakers are limited to 3 minutes.  

The regular board meetings of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education are on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month.
